Our Founding
In 2016 Rod Walker & Associates Consultancy, Inc (RWA) transitioned from being scattered projects and an idea into a reality. RWA was founded by Rod Walker, a seasoned industry executive who brought over thirty-five years of technical expertise and business acumen combined with executive management experience to lead organizations and serve clients in the energy industry, domestically and worldwide.
Rod was was a Civil Engineer, receiving his B.S. from Clemson University who built a career across the gas industry that culminated in what is now RWA. In 2023, Rod was diagnosed with stage four cancer and passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family.
Rod embodied intelligence, wisdom, and kindness, leaving an indelible mark on all fortunate enough to cross paths with him. His contributions to his community and the energy industry will be forever remembered. It is our privilege to carry on Rod’s legacy by continuing to provide the expertise and technical resources our clients have come to rely on.
Rod Walker & Associates Consultancy is a unique team of former utility executives with broad Management Consulting and Industry Technical Advisory experience. Included in the RWA team are members who have served in various executive leadership roles in large companies across the natural gas value chain. RWA’s model allows us to pull in these extraordinarily knowledgeable individuals on an as-needed basis from our pool of experts - providing our clients with a solid core project team and dynamic expertise as needed to adapt to changing project needs.

Bill McAleb
With 40+ years of Oil, Gas, Power & Energy industry knowledge and experience, Mr. McAleb has a well-seasoned range of executive, management, strategic and operational experience. He provides corporate leadership, guidance, vision for RWA. Mr. McAleb has deep business experience related to the development and implementation of plans and programs focused on operational, organizational and cultural excellence; financial and operational performance; process and profitability innovation; opportunity exploitation; business architecture; M&A / Transactional advisory; business transformation; coupled with expert witness and strategic advisory.

Jeremy Walker
Jeremy Walker is an expert in the analysis of gas technical and operations issues in regulated natural gas utilities. He serves as the COO of RWA and also works with RWA project teams to co-author reports and sponsor expert witness testimony in the natural gas regulatory and diligence spaces. Jeremy's 9 years of industry experience and additional management experience serve him well in his roles. His commitment to staying informed and driving innovation is evident through his participation in industry events and education in emerging technology.

Connie McIntyre
Connie McIntyre has served over 40 years at AGL Resources in many management roles throughout various departments in field operations, IT, and Customer Experience. After spending her last 10 years at AGL as the Vice President of Customer Experience, Connie retired in 2018 and began pursuing her coaching and consulting career where she is a PCC (professional certified coach) through International Coach Federation (ICF).

Brian MacLean
Brian MacLean is an industry executive with more than twenty-five years of experience in the energy industry with various subsidiaries of AGL Resources, including serving as the President of both Elizabethtown Gas and Elkton Gas before retiring in January 2019. Brian has excellent knowledge of utility operations and particular experience in IT, strategy, field operations, and data.

Herb Rakebrand has over 40 years of experience in the natural gas industry. Having held senior level positions in the utility, pipeline and investment banking sectors, he brings broad perspectives to addressing client issues. Herb specializes in diligence, fuel supply and energy transition strategies, as well as analysis of complex market issues.

Wade Stinson has over 39 years of experience in the utility industry, including nearly twenty years at the executive management level. He began his career at Memphis (TN) Light, Gas & Water progressing to the position of Vice President – Construction & Maintenance.

Rick Porter is currently Managing Partner of Porter Energy Advisors and a highly experienced Senior Executive with over 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry directing large teams for Fortune 500 midstream companies and consulting firms. He was responsible for the performance of $6B+ in pipeline assets, negotiating shipper contracts, service agreements, and rate settlements.

Rich brings over 40 years of experience in the electric and natural gas utility industries. He is a proven, results-oriented leader with a unique blend of public power / public natural gas and investor-owned electric / natural gas utility experience with union and non-union labor forces. He is experienced in electric and natural gas wholesale supply, planning, engineering, construction, operation and maintenance, regulatory compliance and support functions.

Rob Napper
Mr. Napper is a seasoned gas engineer with decades of experience in design and project management of natural gas projects. He has experience in engineering design and construction of transmission & distribution pipelines, gathering systems, M&R stations, compressor stations, and liquids processing projects.
As a consultant, Mr. Napper has developed significant experience compiling feasibility and engineering studies, creating and verifying engineering deliverables, providing plant solutions, analyzing major gas infrastructure, and designing numerous types of natural gas facilities.
